Application
Monoclonal Anti-Follicular Dendritic Cells (FDC) antibody is suitable for immunohistochemistry studies of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections at a dilution of 1:25-1:50 using human tonsil and frozen sections at a dilution of 1:25-1:50 using acetone-fixed, cryostat sections of human tonsil.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) are phenotypically distinct cells that are restricted to primary and secondary follicles of any secondary lymphoid organs, lymphoid dendritic cells are found in T cell-rich interfollicular areas. FDCs are morphologically large cells (often containing multiple nuclei) that exhibit numerous dendritic processes. Initially, FDCs are characterized as ′accessory′ cells that passively support germinal centre (GC) responses. However, latter it has been postulated that FDCs actively shape humoral immunity.
Physical form
Tissue culture supernatant (culture medium with fetal calf serum), containing 15 mM sodium azide.

CD4 T cells are key mediators of adaptive immune responses during infection and vaccination. Within secondary lymphoid organs, helper CD4 T cells, particularly those residing in germinal centers known as follicular helper T cells (Tfh), provide critical help to B-cells

Follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) have important functions in the selection of memory B lymphocytes during germinal center reactions (GCR). They present native antigens to potential memory cells, of which only B cells with high affinity B cell receptors (BCR) can

Follicular dendritic cells (FDC) are located within the B-cell follicles of non-malignant lymphatic tissues and within non-Hodgkin-lymphomas (NHL) derived from the germinal centre or the mantlezone. Follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) are essential for high-affinity antibody production and for the development of B cell memory. Historically, FDCs have been characterized as 'accessory' cells that passively support germinal centre (GC) responses. However, recent observations suggest that FDCs actively
