General description
The Janus kinases (JAKs) are protein tyrosine kinases that modulate cytokine signaling during immunological responses and hematopoiesis. JAK family members consist of four isoforms, namely, JAK1, JAK2, JAK3 and TYK2. JAK1 plays a crucial role in mediating the JAK/STAT signaling response to interleukin 6. Alterations in JAK functions have been implicated in heart and immunological disorders, as well as in hematopoietic malignancies . Monoclonal Anti-JAK1 antibody is specific for human JAK1 (approx. 130 kDa).
Immunogen
The peptide sequence is identical in mouse and rat JAK1.
synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 543-555 of human JAK1, conjugated to KLH
Application
Monoclonal Anti-JAK1 antibody is suitable for use in western blot (2-4 μg/mL using extract from Raji cells), indirect ELISA and microarray.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium aside.
