基因信息
human ... SDCBP(6386)
一般描述
Syndecan binding protein (SDCBP) is also named as syntenin and melanoma differentiation associated gene-9 (MDA-9) contains tandemly repeated PDZ domains that bind the cytoplasmic, C-terminal domains of a variety of transmembrane proteins. SDCBP is located to membrane associated adherens junctions and focal adhesions. It is present in the endoplasmic reticulum and nucleus. SDCBP gene is mapped to human chromosome 8q12.1 and has 9 exons and is expressed in fetal kidney, liver, lung and brain.
应用
Anti-SDCBP (N-terminal) antibody produced in rabbit may be used in:
- immunoblotting
- immunoprecipitation
- immunofluorescence
生化/生理作用
Anti-SDCBP (N-terminal) recognizes human SDCBP.
Syndecan binding protein (SDCBP) might distress the organization of cytoskeletal-membrane and the stimulation of transcription factors. It may also affect cell adhesion and protein trafficking. SDCBP promotes metastasis in human melanoma cells by activating c-Src. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Syntenin enables the recruitment of ubiquitinated proteins to its transmembrane partners by interacting with ubiquitin through is C- and N-terminal regions. It plays a key role in synapses formation and maturation. Upregulation of syntenin blocks human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) production and HIV-mediated cell fusion. Depletion of this gene enhances the entry of HIV-1.

制备说明
For continuous use, store at 2–8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, freeze in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in “frost-free” freezers, is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilutions should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.
