General description
Monoclonal Anti-DIS3 (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma DIS3-N produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from immunized BALB/c mice. DIS3 homolog, exosome endoribonuclease and 3′-5′ exoribonuclease (DIS3), mitotic control homolog, also known as RRP44 and EXOSC11, is a catalytic component of the eukaryotic RNA exosome. The RNA exosome is a ribonucleolytic complex of 400 kDa. It is composed of a nine catalytically inert subunit core. The exosome is a nuclear complex, also localized to the cytoplasm. DIS3 is predominantly found in the nucleus, whereas DIS3L is mainly cytoplasmic.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence of human DIS3, conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence is identical in monkey, pig and dog, and differs by a single amino acid in mouse and rat DIS3.
Application
Monoclonal Anti-DIS3 antibody produced in mouse has been used in:
- immunoblotting
- immunoprecipitation
- immunofluorescence
Biochem/physiol Actions
The RNA exosome is essential for RNA processing and turnover. Its core subunits possess structural function and is associated with substrate recognition. The exosome was characterized as a multiunit complex important for the 3′ → 5′ processing and degradation of many types of RNAs including mRNA, rRNA, snRNA, snoRNA, and tRNA. DIS3 homolog, exosome endoribonuclease and 3′-5′ exoribonuclease (DIS3) and DIS3L are potential exonucleases. DIS3 also displays endonuclease activity.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Mitochondrial dynamics play critical roles in maintaining mitochondrial functions. Here, we report a novel mechanism for regulation of mitochondrial dynamics mediated by tristetraprolin (TTP), an AU-rich element (ARE)-binding protein. Overexpression of TTP resulted in elongated mitochondria, down-regulation of mitochondrial oxidative

Hexokinase 2 (HK2) catalyzes the first step of glycolysis and is up-regulated in cancer cells. The mechanism has not been fully elucidated. Tristetraprolin (TTP) is an AU-rich element (ARE)-binding protein that inhibits the expression of ARE-containing genes by enhancing mRNA
