黏着斑蛋白（VCL）是一种广泛表达的细胞骨架蛋白，由定位于人类染色体10q11.2-qter 上的基因编码。VCL是粘附型细胞连接的重要成分。黏着斑蛋白结构包含一个球形头部，其通过富含脯氨酸的短序列连接到尾部结构域，头部与尾部之间的分子内相互作用掩盖了蛋白质中的各种配体结合位点。

免疫原

KLH标记的对应于人黏着斑蛋白氨基酸残基691-705、N末端添加半胱氨酸的合成肽。该序列也存在于metavinculin中。小鼠、大鼠和猪中的相应序列相同，而鸡中的相差一个氨基酸。

应用

兔抗黏着斑蛋白抗体可用于以下研究：

生化/生理作用

黏着斑蛋白在黏着斑装配中还与α-连环蛋白和血管扩张剂刺激磷蛋白（VASP）结合。它瞬时结合肌动蛋白相关蛋白2/3（ARP2/3）复合物，而不会在黏着斑中共定位。
黏着斑蛋白（VCL）是一种细胞骨架蛋白，可支持细胞与细胞和细胞与基质连接。它可控制粘附和运动以及细胞伸展，因此也基本参与了正常的胚胎发育和心脏功能。在成熟的黏着斑（FA）中，VCL是“分子离合器”的重要组成部分，“分子离合器”可将力从细胞质F-肌动蛋白传递至膜结合整合素。VCL的畸变或突变会导致心肌病，这与高血压有关。实验研究表明，VCL可作为衰老或心力衰竭的生物标志物。黏着斑蛋白与FA相关，参与多种细胞功能，如稳定和增强FA，促进其成熟、细胞外基质（ECM）机械敏感化，调节肌动蛋白的细胞骨架动力学和参与凋亡的信号转导途径。
