Application
Choro-dimethyl-octadecylsilane can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of hydrophobic silicon nanoparticles with fluorescence properties via low temperature colloid-chemical synthetic method. It can also be used to prepare non-porous C18 silica gel stationary phase which is used in the separation of chiral enantiomers by capillary electrochromatography method.
