Application
This compound is for specifically labeling arginines with Cy3. The compound contains a phenylglyoxyl group that reacts specifically with the guanidinyl group of arginine. After attachment to arginine the Cy3 can be detected by measuring fluorescence. Unmodified Cy3 has an excitation at ~550 nm and an emission at ~570 nm.
