Application
Li-Li auxiliary assists the direct meta-C–H olefination and acetoxylation of benzoic acids through a nitrile-based sulfonamide template under mild conditions. The expansion of substrate scope regardless of substitution patterns and steric biases will enable the wide adoption of this protocol to the synthesis of drug molecules and natural products, of which benzoic acids are significant motifs.
