General description
1.0 M NaPF6 in EC/DEC=50/50 (v/v) consists of a 1.0 M concentration of sodium hexafluorophosphate (NaPF6) dissolved in a 1:1 volume ratio of ethylene carbonate (EC) and diethyl carbonate (DEC). The product is a clear solution with strictly minimized impurities including low moisture, low trace metals, low chloride, and low sulfate.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Click here for more information.
Application
The main application of 1.0 M NaPF6 in EC/DEC=50/50 (v/v), battery grade is as an electrolyte in sodium-ion batteries (NIBs) Studies have found that when NaPF6 in a mixture of ethylene carbonate and diethyl carbonate (EC:DEC (1:1 v:v)) used as electrolyte in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs), there is an increase of the ionic conductivity, the cation transference number, and the binary diffusion coefficient thereby increasing the power density NaPF6 in EC/DEC can provide a stable and effective electrolyte solution that helps form a protective solid electrolyte interface (SEI) on the electrode surfaces, which reduces electrode breakdown and improves overall battery performance
