一般描述

Palladium nitrate Dihydrate dissolves readily in water. This is a great starting point for the synthesis of Palladium complexes and nanoparticles. It is available as a solid. Our Palladium(II) nitrate dihydrate, 99.99 % trace metals basis is highly pure and contains less than 100 ppm of other metal impurities, making it suitable as a raw material or catalyst for specific applications.

应用

Precious metal electro-catalysts are predominantly use in fuel cell applications. Among them, the development of efficient and durable catalysts using Pd and Pd-based nanomaterials has garnered significant attention. Because of its high affinity for hydrogen, Pd nanomaterials can be used as primary catalysts in a wide range of applications, including organic coupling synthesis, hydrogen detection, purification, and storage.

For example: Various methods has been used to synthesis Pd-electrocatalyst using Palladium(II) nitrate dihydrate.Palladium(II) nitrate dihydrate is used as a reactant in the synthesis of rGO-supported palladium-nickel (Pd-Ni/rGO) alloy, which is used as a cathode catalyst for effectively catalyzing the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) in Direct methanol fuel cells. This is beacuse, Pd-containing catalyst have higher ORR activity as compare to Pt electrocatalyst

Nickel or nickel-palladium catalysts supported on mesoporous silica were prepared and evaluated for the dry reforming of methane (DRM) reaction to produce syngas, using Pd(NO3)2.2H2O. The bimetallic Ni-Pd catalysts, particularly those synthesized through the OA-assisted method, demonstrated favorable hydrogen yields in the catalytic DRM reaction compared to the monometallic catalyst.

In the catalytic 2,4-dinitrotoluene hydrogenation reaction, palladium nanoparticles were immobilized onto the maghemite surface. The maghemite-supported Pd catalysts were prepared using Palladium(II) nitrate dihydrate through a sonochemical method .

On the other hand, the cross-coupling reaction catalyzed by palladium is a highly successful class of reactions that has been instrumental in the synthesis of diverse and significant chemical structures. These reactions have been employed in the synthesis of natural products, heterocyclic structures, conjugated polymers, and organic complexes .

For example: - Palladium supported on vertically aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes is utilized in the microwave-assisted Heck reaction to carry out C-C coupling reactions of p-iodonitrobenzene with styrene and ethyl acrylate

In the presence of ethylene, Pd/TiO2 catalysts significantly improve selectivity in acetylene hydrogenation
