General description
Sesame oil, a widely used vegetable oil, is obtained from the seeds of sesame plant (Sesamum indicum). It is generally composed of fatty acids such as linoleic, oleic, palmitic and stearic acid. Sesame oil may also contain sesamin, sesamolin, sesamol, and tocopherols.
