Dansyl ((dimethyl amino)naphthalene-1-sulfonYL)) group produces blue or blue-green fluorescent adduct and is used in labeling techniques for studying protein folding and dynamics.(5)

18:1 Dansyl PS may be used for preparation of liposomes for sedimentation assays, visualising and other fluorometric analysis like FRET.
