General description
Metformin, marketed under the trade name Glucophage among others, is a first-line medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome. This solution mix Certified Reference Material contains metformin along with multiple impurities produced during pharmaceutical manufacturing of metformin - 1-methylbiguanide HCl (Metformin Related Compound B); melamine; and N,N-Dimethyl-1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine (Metformin Related Compound C). Used with M-196-1ML Cyanoguanidine (Metformin Related Compound A), this certified solution standard is suitable for use in metformin monograph testing methods by HPLC in testing applications ranging from API release testing to pharmaceutical research.
