Detection of the alkaline leukocyte phosphatase activity in leukocytes

LEUCOGNOST ALPA is used for detection of the alkaline leukocyte phospahatase activity in leukocytes. Alkaline leucocyte phosphatase (AP) catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate esters in alkaline solution. 1-naphthol released from 1-naphthylphosphate is coupled to a diazonium salt to form a brown azo dye, which is precipitated according to the locality and the AP activity in the cell. It is developed and registered as CE / IVD product for applications in diagnostics.The staining kit is sufficient for 12 stainings with up to 16 slides.
