Novel non-ionic detergent useful for plasmid DNA isolation (aggregation number: 131; CMC: 4.6 mM). Plasmid DNA isolated using APO-10 does not require the use of phenol/chloroform or proprietary resins. Provides excellent yields of high quality DNA. Allows plasmid DNA to be sequenced through difficult regions without the need to subclone into single-stranded vectors.
