Lipocortin-II, His•Tag^®, Human, Recombinant, E. coli

Full-length, recombinant, human, lipocortin-II fused at the N-terminus to His•Tag and S•Tag sequences and expressed in E. coli. This preparation is qualified for use as a substrate for protein tyrosine kinases in in vitro assays. Lipocortin-II is a Ca²⁺-binding protein whose affinity for calcium is increased by anionic phospholipids. It binds two calcium ions with high-affinity and crosslinks plasma membrane phospholipids with actin and the cytoskeleton and is involved with exocytosis. It is known to be phosphorylated at Tyr²³ by Src and at Ser²⁵ by PKC. It is also a substrate for a variety of other protein tyrosine kinases.
