General description
Native NADH oxidase from Bacillus Iicheniformis. Catalyzes the oxidation of NADPH to NAD and H2O2 with the consumption of stoichiometric amounts of oxygen.
Preparation Note
Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage or store at room temperature (20°C) for short-term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 week at 20°C or for up to 6 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute to 5 units/ml in 30 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.4. Dilute in 30 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, with 0.1% BSA just prior to use.
Other Notes
May contain trace amounts of catalase which can be eliminated by the addition of 10 mM NaN₃ to the reaction mixture.
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will oxidize 1 µmol of NADH per min at 30°C, pH 7.0.
