General description
A potent, selective and systemically active positive allosteric modulator for mGlu7 receptor (EC50 = 64-290 nM). One of the most frequently used agent for assessing the functional roles of mGlu7 receptors in a variety of brain functions (i.e. sleep pattern, learning and memory, and locomotion) and disorders (i.e. depression, anxiety, and Parkinson′s disease). Induces internalization of mGlu7 receptors. Also acts on NMDA, AMPA, 5-HT receptors and norepinephrine transporter.
