General description

A carba analog of Ganciclovir (Cat. No. 345700). Active against several herpes viruses (IC₅₀ = 37.9 µM for HHV-6A and 77.8 µM for HHV-6B). Induces apoptosis effectively without exerting much genotoxicity.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for 6 months at -20°C.
