LB Agar, Miller - Novagen

LB Agar MILLER is a granulated medium for the cultivation of <em>E. coli</em>. The granules ensure rapid and uniform dissolution in water, and prevent clumping of the medium and inhalation of the airborne powder. It is supplied in several formats. EasyPak is an aluminum foil pouch containing 37 g granulated medium sufficient for 1 L culture. Just add the EasyPak contents to 1 L water, microwave to dissolve agar and sterilize*, and it is ready to use. In addition, the LB Agar MILLER is supplied in 500 g, and 5 kg bottles. The composition of the LB Agar MILLER per liter is 5 g yeast extract, 10 g peptone from casein, 10 g sodium chloride, and 12 g agar-agar.

*Microwaving is sufficient if an antibiotic will be added to the prepared media.
