General description

淀粉样前体蛋白(APP)在胎儿组织的脑、肾、心脏和脾脏中表达;它是在神经元分化过程中诱导的。APP最有力的作用是在突触的形成和修复中。在神经元分化过程中和神经损伤后,其表达上调。在成年大脑中,APP的最高表达在皮质的额叶中发现。在小脑皮层,后外侧裂周区皮层-盖脑回和颞相关皮层中观察到中等表达。APP缺陷是常染色体显性遗传阿尔茨′海默氏病(AD)的原因。 在脑室内注射该抗体后,AD的APPPS1小鼠模型的大脑中的A-β水平显著降低。一种相关的抗体,目录号MABN381,抗APP-C99,克隆mC99(1-7)针对相同APP-C99蛋白的略有不同的区域产生。
观测分子量〜95 kDa。在某些细胞裂解物中可能会观察到未表征的条带。
