Autophagy-related protein 13 (ATG13) is an autophagy factor necessary for autophagosome formation. ATG13 is targeted by the TOR kinase signaling pathway which regulates autophagy by controlling ATG13 phosphorylation status and regulating the ATG13-ULK1-RB1CC1 complex.

Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.

Evaluated by Western Blotting in non-transfected, RISC free HEK293 cell lysate and Atg13 siRNA knockdown HEK293 cell lysate.

Western Blotting: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Atg13 in non-transfected, RISC free HEK293 cell lysate and demonstrated a loss of signal in Atg13 siRNA knockdown HEK293 cell lysate.
