Application
A differential medium for the detection, isolation and enumeration of coliforms and other enteric bacteria. Proteus organisms do not spread on this medium and it is therefore especially suitable for the examination of urine.
Preparation Note
Suspend 50g in 1 litre demineralised water. Boil whilst stirring until completely dissolved. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 45 -50°C. Mix well and pour plates.
