General description
整联蛋白β4是一种糖蛋白，可与a6整联蛋白结合形成a6/B4复合物。整联蛋白α6/β4是层粘连蛋白的受体。它在上皮细胞的半桥粒中起关键的结构作用。整联蛋白β4基因缺陷是导致致死性大疱性表皮松解伴幽门闭锁（EB PA）的原因；又称交界性大疱性表皮松解伴幽门闭锁（PA-JEB）或先天性皮肤发育不全伴胃肠道闭锁。EB-PA的特征是粘膜皮肤脆弱和胃肠道闭锁，最常影响幽门。此外，整联蛋白β4基因的缺陷是泛发性萎缩性良性大疱性表皮松解（GABEB）的一个原因。这种非致命形式的交界性大疱性表皮松解的特征是皮肤终生水泡，与头发和牙齿异常有关。
