General description
Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome Protein (WASP)-family Protein Member 2 (known as WASF2/WAVE-2) has a very wide distribution with strong expression in peripheral blood leukocytes. WASF2/WAVE-2 is involved in signaling RTKs and small GTPases. In general WAVE family of proteins have a general function for regulating the actin cytoskeleton in various tissues.
