Biochem/physiol Actions
Calcium gluconate exhibits protective impact against osteoarthritis (OA) in Sprague-Dawley rats by inhibiting COX-2 as well as other related chondrocyte apoptosis. It also facilitates the excision of skin necrosis by versajet hydrosurgery due to calcium gluconate extravasation in pediatric patients.
