（+） -樟脑-10-磺酸可作为合成10-碘樟脑的起始原料。(±)-S-甲基-S-苯基磺酰亚胺可作为手性拆分剂进行拆分，形成具有较高对映体纯度的 (-)-形式。掺杂 (+)-樟脑-10-磺酸的聚苯胺 (PAni) 形成导电聚合物纳米纤维，是优良的氨气传感器。
