General description

Acetyleugenol is a phytochemical compound belonging to the class of alkylbenzenes, a group of volatile plant toxins. It is widely found in consumed spices, aromatic herbs, and other plants including anise, basil, cinnamon, fennel, nutmeg, clove Syzygium aromaticum (L.) essential oil, pimento, rose, ylang-ylang, etc.

Application

Acetyleugenol may be used as a reference material in pepper and its other varieties, Longhu Rendan pills and clove extract using chromatography techniques.
