General description
秦皮乙素是香豆素衍生物，存在于多种植物中，包括菊苣（ Cichorium intybus ）（菊苣）、三角梅（ Bougainvillea spectabilis），茵陈蒿（ Artemisia capillaris）等植物，还存在于柠檬（ Citrus limonia ）（芸香科），紫金莲（ Ceratostigma willmottianumum）等的叶片中。具有多种药理活性，被认为是环氧合酶、5-脂氧合酶、12-脂氧合酶，儿茶酚-O-甲基转移酶，NADPH氧化酶和黄嘌呤氧化酶的强效抑制剂。
Application
秦皮乙素可用作分析参考标准品，通过色谱技术测定生物样品 和水样 中的分析物。也可作为标准品，分别通过固相萃取和胶束电动毛细管法，定量传统草药中的分析物 。
