General description
Molecular sieves are in the form of rods having pore diameter of 3Å. It participates in the synthesis of ecteinascidin 743 (a potential marine-derived antitumor agent) and vanillyl nonanoate (a model capsinoid compound).
Application
Molecular sieves may be employed in the enantioselective Friedel-Crafts alkylation of indoles with nitroalkenes. It may be employed for the drying of n-octane in a study.
