General description
Sodium bromide, an alkaline-earth chloride, is an inorganic salt. It has been synthesized by reacting soda with iron(II,III)bromide.
Application
Sodium bromide may be used in the following studies:
- As a catalyst for the microwave assisted three-component cyclocondensation of aryl aldehydes, alkyl nitriles and dimedone for the synthesis of highly functionalized tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyrans.
- To compose the aqueous two-phase system (ATPS).
- Preparation of unoxidized and carboxylated pullulan, which are employed as mediators during the preparation of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs).
