Trimethyltetradecylammonium hydrogen sulfate may be used as an anionic ion pairing reagent in the quantification of non derivatized sialic acids in glycoproteins using high performance liquid chromatography coupled with nano quantity analyte detector (HPLC-NQAD) and dionex-based high-pH anion-exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection (HPAEC-PAD).
