General description
DOTAP chloride in research is as a transfection reagent for the delivery of nucleic acids, such as DNA and RNA, into cells. DOTAP chloride, also known as 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium-propane chloride, is a cationic lipid that is often used to form liposomal complexes with nucleic acids, enabling their efficient delivery into cells. This makes it a valuable tool in molecular biology, gene expression studies, and the development of gene therapy techniques.
Application
