General description
Ammonium metavanadate is an ammonium salt. It participates as an oxidizing agent for condensation reaction of o-phenylenediamine with substituted aryl aldehydes.
Application
Ammonium metavanadate may be employed in the following studies:
- As catalyst for the synthesis of various 2-substituted aryl benzimidazoles.
- As oxidizing agent in the determination of chlorpromazine, promethazine, trimeprazine and perphenazine in pharmaceutical samples by flow injection method.
- Synthesis of dioxidovanadium(V) complex.
- Preparation of Vanadia modified titania (V2O5/TiO2) photo-catalysts.
