一般描述

Copper(II) oxide (Cupric oxide, CuO) contains copper in the +2 valence state. A refinement of its crystal structure has been described by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. CuO is useful for the fabrication of solid state gas sensors. It can be synthesized from copper oxalate.

应用

Copper(II) oxide may be used in the preparation of imidazole and single crystals of CuO.
