Application
Nerve cells accumulate certain FITC-labelled lectins, with much greater accumulation in nerves that are regnerating after traumatic damage. Uptake is seen with Con A and wheat germ agglutinin, but not agglutinins from Dolichos biflorus, peanut, Ulex europaeus, or soybean.
