General description

Biochem/physiol Actions
锌指转录因子MTF-1(金属反应转录因子-1)从昆虫到脊椎动物都是保守的。MTF-1在两种生物中的主要作用是控制与重金属离子(例如Cu2+,Zn2+和Cd2+)的稳态和解毒作用有关的基因的转录。在哺乳动物中,MTF-1至少具有两个附加作用。首先,由于肝脏变性,MTF-1基因的靶向破坏导致胚胎第14天的死亡,表示了阶段特异性的发育作用。其次,在低氧-缺氧应激下,MTF-1有助于激活基因胎盘生长因子(PIGF)(一种血管生成蛋白)的转录。
