Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X4 (UniProt: Q96LA9; also known as Sensory neuron-specific G-protein coupled receptor 5/6, MRGPRX4) is encoded by the MRGPRX4 (also known as MRGX4, SNSR5, SNSR6) gene (Gene ID: 117196) in human. MRGPRX4 is a multi-pass membrane glycoprotein with four extracellular domains, seven transmembrane domains, and four cytoplasmic domains. It is shown to be localized in a subset of small dorsal root and trigeminal sensory neurons. It has been classified as an orphan receptor that is involved in the regulation of nociceptor function and/or development, including the sensation or modulation of pain. It is shown to be potently activated by enkephalins. Several unconjugated and conjugated bile acids are reported to act as ligands for MRGPRX4 and may contribute to cholestatic pruritus. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Biochem/physiol Actions
Clone 3F4 is a ZooMAb® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor member X4 (MRGPRX4). It targets an epitope within 16 amino acids from the C-terminal, cytoplasmic domain.
Physical form
Purified recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
Preparation Note
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.
