特异性

Clone 3N14 is a ZooMAb® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that detects ApoE. It targets an epitope within 11 amino acids from the N-terminal half of the protein.

应用

Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Immunocytochemistry in HepG2 cell lysate.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution of this antibody detected ApoE in HepG2 cells.

Tested Applications

Affinity Binding Assay: The binding affinity of this antibody to ApoE protein was at least one thousand-fold (1,000X) higher than that obtained with the non-specific GST control protein.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: 1 µg from a representative lot detected ApoE in one million HepG2 cells.

Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.

Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) (UniProt: P02649; also known as Apo-E) is encoded by the APOE gene (Gene ID: 348) in human. ApoE plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and transport. It binds to lipoprotein receptors and facilitates the uptake and clearance of lipoproteins, such as low-density lipoprotein (LDL), from the bloodstream. ApoE is involved in the redistribution of cholesterol and other lipids among various tissues and organs. Mutations in this gene result in familial dysbetalipoproteinemia, or type III hyperlipoproteinemia (HLP III), in which increased plasma cholesterol and triglycerides are the consequence of impaired clearance of chylomicron and VLDL remnants. ApoE has been associated with various diseases. The APOE4 isoform, in particular, has been linked to an increased risk of developing earlier onset Alzheimer′s disease. APOE has also been implicated in cardiovascular diseases, such as atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.

外形

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.

储存及稳定性

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
