Quality Control Testing
Evaluated by Western Blotting in HaCaT cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution of this antibody detected CHD2 in HaCaT cell lysate.
Tested Applications
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected CHD2 in lysate from HEK-293 cells nuclear extract.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected CHD2 in SH-SY5Y cells.
Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound with CHD2 peptide at least one thousand-fold (1,000X) higher affinity than with non-specific control peptide.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected CHD2 in human cerebral cortex tissue sections.

Chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 2 (UniProt: O14647; EC:3.6.4.12; also known as ATP-dependent helicase CHD2) is encoded by the CHD2 gene (Gene ID: 1106) in human. CHD2 is a member of the CHD (chromodomain helicase DNA-binding) family of proteins, characterized by the presence of multiple domains, including two chromodomains, a helicase domain, and an SNF2-related helicase/ATPase domains. CHD2 is primarily involved in chromatin remodeling and regulation of gene expression. It plays a crucial role in DNA repair, transcriptional regulation, and maintaining genomic stability. CHD2 is known to facilitate the assembly of chromatin complexes and is involved in the recruitment of other proteins necessary for DNA damage response. Dysregulation of CHD2 has been implicated in several diseases, including various cancers and neurological disorders. Mutations or altered expression of CHD2 can lead to genomic instability, contributing to tumorigenesis. In neurological contexts, CHD2 mutations have been associated with epilepsy and other neurodevelopmental disorders, highlighting its critical role in brain function and development. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
