Gene Information
human ... NR1H2(7376)
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human NR1H2
Application
Anti-NR1H2 (AB2) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1.25μg/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Nuclear receptor subfamily 1, group H, member 2 (NR1H2), also known as liver X receptor β (LXRB), is a nuclear receptor that forms heterodimers with retinoid X receptors to regulate gene expression. The members of LXR family are involved in inflammation, macrophage activation and lipid metabolism. Polymorphisms in NR1H2 are associated with preeclampsia, atherosclerosis and Alzheimer′s disease.
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.

Various physiological functions have been ascribed to the liver X receptors (LXRs). Recently, we have identified new functions of these nuclear receptors in steroidogenic tissues. In adrenal, LXRalpha prevents accumulation of free cholesterol in mouse by controlling expression of genes
