General description
TCF25 is a transcription factor with a basic helix-loop-helix domain. It negatively regulates transcription from RNA polymerase II promoters.

Biochem/physiol Actions
TCF25 acts as a transcriptional repressor. It has been shown to repress transcription of SRF in vitro and so may play a role in heart development.
