General description
C-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CCR-2) is a protein that belongs to chemokine cytokine family and is expressed mainly on monocytes. It has a crucial role in activation and migration of leukocytes. It also facilitates in the pathogenesis of vasculitis in Kawasaki disease (KD) . Monoclonal Anti-CCR-2 antibody can be used in flow cytometry for the Identification of human CCR-2. Mouse anti-CCR-2 antibody reacts specifically with CCR-2 transfected cells but not with the parent cell line. No cross reactivity has been observed with CCR-5 transfected cells.
Immunogen
human CCR-2 transfected NSO mouse myeloma cells.
Application
Monoclonal Anti-CCR-2 antibody can be used as a positive control in immunohistochemical staining.
Biochem/physiol Actions
The antibody reacts with CCR-2 transfectant cells and not the parent cell line. It shows no cross-reactivity with CCR-5 transfectant cells.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing carbohydrates.
Preparation Note
Purified using protein G.
