General description
ColorWheel® technology is a novel and proprietary method of creating your own antibody and dye combinations for use in flow cytometry. By incubating any ColorWheel® antibody with any ColorWheel® dye, researchers can quickly and simply produce primary conjugated antibodies for use in single color or multicolor flow cytometry analysis. Each ColorWheel® antibody and dye is lyophilized for long-term storage, allowing for simplicity and flexibility without compromise. ColorWheel® technology requires both ColorWheel® antibody and ColorWheel® dye for Flow Cytometry application.
Basigin (UniProt: P35613; also known as 5F7, Collagenase stimulatory factor, Extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer, EMMPRIN, Hepatoma-associated antigen, HAb18G, Leukocyte activation antigen M6, OK blood group antigen, Tumor cell-derived collagenase stimulatory factor, TCSF, CD147) is encoded by the BSG (also known as UNQ6505/PRO21383) gene (Gene ID: 682) in human. CD147 is a single-pass type I membrane, homooligomeric, glycoprotein that is synthesized with a signal peptide (aa 1-21), which is subsequently cleaved off to produce the mature form. Four isoforms of CD147 have been described that are produced by alternative promoter usage and alternative splicing. Isoform 1 is reported to be essential for normal retinal development and maturation. It is expressed retinal cone photoreceptors. In association with GLUT1 glucose transporter, it promotes retinal cone survival by enhancing aerobic glycolysis and accelerates the entry of glucose into photoreceptors. Isoform 2 is expressed in erythrocytes, heart, kidney, skeletal muscle, and testis. It serves as a signaling receptor for cyclophilins and is essential for cyclophilin A and B-dependent signaling related to chemotaxis and adhesion of immune cells. It also serves as a coreceptor for VEGFR2 in endothelial cells and enhances VEGFA-mediated activation and downstream signaling. Isoforms 3 and 4 are truncated forms. CD147 expression has been reported in several human tumors where it plays a key role in tumor progression by stimulating the secretion of matrix metalloproteinases and cytokines. It regulates cell proliferation, inhibits apoptosis, enhances tumor cell migration, metastasis, and differentiation, especially under hypoxic conditions. (Ref.: Ali, NA., et al., (2015). Immunogen
Recombinant full length Protein A-CR purified soluble form of CD147 protein. CD147Rg, which consists of the cDNA coding for the hinge region, CH2-and CH3 domain of human IgG1 (CD147Rg is secreted by transfectants as a dimer).

Biochem/physiol Actions
Clone MEM-M6/1 is a mouse monoclonal antibody that detects CD147. It targets an epitope with in the D1 domain in the extracellular region.
Physical form
Lyophilized from PBS containing D-Mannitol and Sucrose, normal appearance is a dried pellet. Reconstituted antibody solution is stable and functional as assessed by functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide.
Preparation Note
1.0 mg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL in PBS. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C. Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial. Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL PBS. Protect from light.
