General description
Eppendorf ULT Freezers such as the CryoCube FC660 are known for their energy efficiency, reliability, and worry-free, long-term sample preservation. They provide many of the same features as the Eppendorf Innova ULT Freezers, but are conventionally insulated by polyurethane foam for a cost-effective alternative. The polyurethane insulation combined with a highly efficient cooling system achieve and maintain ultra-low temperatures of –86 C.
The ratio of the number of storage boxes to energy consumption is higher for chest freezers than upright models. When the chest freezer is opened, the cold air is kept inside. Additional insulated panels cover the inner chamber and increase energy saving. You can store up to 52,000 vessels in a CryoCube FC660. Each CryoCube model is delivered with its own specific certificate.
