General description
IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections. IgA antibody is secretory antibody and is present abundantly in mucous linings of gastrointestinal, respiratory and genitourinary tracts, tears and saliva. IgM antibodies are present as pentamers in the serum and are produced in response to antigens
Purified human IgA, IgG and IgM are used to develop anti-sera in goats. The IgG fraction of each anti-sera is purified and conjugated to Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC), Isomer I. Anti-Human Polyvalent Immunoglobulins (G,A,M)-FITC antibody specifically recognizes human IgA, IgG and IgM.

Purified human IgA, IgG, and IgM
Application
Anti-Human Polyvalent Immunoglobulins (G,A,M)-FITC antibodies may be used for direct immunofluorescence (1:128).
Anti-Human Polyvalent Immunoglobulins (G,A,M)–FITC antibody may be used for immunofluorescence of human peripheral blood lymphocytes at a working antibody dilution of 1:128. This antibody was used to stain dried erythrocytes infected with Plasmodium falciparum at a dilution of 1:60. For flow cytometry analysis of intra-uterine stages of filarial worms, a dilution of 1:250 was used. For immunohistochemical analysis of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded rhesus monkey eye sections, a dilution of 1:200 was used.
Physical form
