Injection-moulded of tough, impact-resistant plastics, it will withstand the rigours of daily lab use and teaching labs for years. Built-in casting stand seals sandwiches leak-free without tape. Plates, clamps, spacers and combs are interchangeable with SE 600 series units.
Run one 16-cm gel or two gels with an accessory divider plate. Its low cost makes the SE 400 appropriate for labs requiring multiple units when temperature control is not crucial. The unit base is also a convenient casting stand for single gels. To cast multiple gels for one or more units, use the multiple gel casters.
