Biochem/physiol Actions

Recombinant human IFN-γ receptors are comprised of two type I membrane proteins, IFN-γ R1 and IFN-γ R2. Both are members of the type II cytokine receptor family. IFN-γ R1 binds IFN-γ ligand and is a potent IFN-γ antagonist.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 5.0 mg bovine serum albumin.

Analysis Note

The bioactivity is measured by its ability to inhibit recombinant human IFN-γ mediated protection of Hela cells to viral lysis.

Other Notes

Mouse and human IFN-γ share 52% homology.
