InstaStain^™ Ethidium Bromide Gel Staining Paper

For staining nucleic acid electrophoresis gels. Ethidium bromide fixed on a special paper backing eliminates staining baths and reduces potential contact with ethidium bromide. Sensitivity is equivalent to staining with ethidium bromide solution. InstaStain is activated by microwaving the gel with a sheet of InstaStain on it, then allowing the gel to stand for 5 minutes followed by classical destaining. The solid format means much less waste than with traditional staining solutions. The 14 × 14 cm sheet can be cut for use with smaller gels.
