生化/生理作用
LYN (proto-oncogene) belongs to the src family of tyrosine kinases. It controls cancer cell growth, migration, invasion and survival. Upregulation of LYN is associated with shorter overall survival in breast cancer. LYN shows anti- or pro-apoptotic effects. It can enhance AKT (v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog) phosphorylation or suppress AKT activation. It is also responisble for activation of p58 PI3K (phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase). Activation of LYN-PI3K-AKT signaling enhances myeloma proliferation.
